About me
I’m a creator,
builder, and
problem solver.
I’ve always been interested in making things.
Sometimes that’s a song. Sometimes it’s software. Sometimes it’s a game. Sometimes it’s a 294-page book made from letters my great-grandmother kept more than a century ago.
The things themselves are different. The reason I make them usually isn’t.
I tend to notice something that could be better — more useful, more meaningful, easier, more fun, or more connected — and then want to find out whether I can build the thing that does that. That’s most of it.
What connects them
At a glance the list doesn’t cohere: music, genealogy, Disney trip planning, trivia, artist software, groceries. Look at what each one is actually for and it lines up.
- Music — expression, and connecting with people.
- Letters Sent Home — preserving something meaningful that would otherwise disappear into a box in an attic.
- Trivia — bringing people into the same room.
- Barlumo — helping families spend better time together.
- Myronay — helping independent artists with problems I’ve had myself.
- Grocery planning — a small practical problem, solved.
The projects don’t need to share a brand in order to share a person. Each one gets to be its own thing. This site is just the place they’re all listed.
What I’m working on now
Finishing things, mostly — and getting better at the part that comes after finishing. I’ve spent a long time learning to make. Releasing is a different skill, and I’m less practised at it.
So this site is deliberately plain about where everything actually stands. Some of it you can use today. Some of it is in beta. Some of it isn’t done. I’d rather say which is which than imply six finished products.
I care about people. I care about craft. I care about making things that add value to someone’s life. Everything I make starts with that.
Want to know when
I make something new?
I don’t post constantly. But if you’d like to hear when something is finished, released, or ready for people to try, you can join the list.
